La band nasce a Genova nel 2005 da Julian Costa,Massimiliano Ronchi e Andrea Marchini proponendo un rock alternativo che fonde in sè diversi generi musicali,quali il funky,il metal ed il grunge. I primi anni di vita del progetto"A Mad Game"sono caratterizzati da varie modifiche di line-up,Massimiliano Ronchi lascia il gruppo e subentra al suo posto il batterista Andrea Parigi,con il quale la band registra un primo demo.Il risultato è un lavoro acerbo,tecnicamente valido ma privo di un sound e sonorità.La band,nel maggio del 2007,anche per colpa degli impegni extra musicali dei singoli,si scioglie. Nel settembre del 2007, Julian trova quelle caratteristiche di sound e affinità che in passato venivano a mancare,i l tutto grazie al ritorno del batterista Massimiliano Ronchi e con l'ingresso nella band del bassista Alessio Rasore. Nel 2008 gli A Mad Game calcano i palchi di diversi locali e sono coinvolti con i loro live in alcuni eventi musicali genovesi. Nel 2009 inizia la crescita musicale de gli" Un Gioco Folle",infatti essi partecipano a eventi importanti nell'ambito ligure come lo "Zena Zuena"(al palasport) e il "Santo Rock"(quest'ultimo vede anche esibirsi bands del calibro di Misfits ed Extrema). Ma la voglia di musica è troppo forte,fortissima...è altrettanto forte come quella di mettere "nero su bianco"il lavoro di anni fatto in sala prova,e così nell'ottobre del 2009 "i 3" entrano in studio per iniziare la registrazione di"STAND UP", il loro primo album,che,a gennaio del 2010,a lavoro finito,include 10 songs.Nel medesimo mese,la band si completa con l'ingresso del chitarrista Dario Zampatti,proveniente dal gruppo prog Melting Clock,arricchendo i brani con un'impronta metal-hard rock. Gli "AMG" iniziano a pubblicizzare il proprio album d'esordio con vari live e varie iniziative:tra questi spicca il live del 7 maggio 2010 al "Takabanda" di Varazze (Savona),dividendo il palco con il rocker Pino Scotto,quello dell'1 agosto al "Reload Music Festival"di Ferrara.Quindi protagonisti e vincitori (sezione"gruppi")a "Superpass",programma televisivo di musica e spettacolo,realizzando negli studi di Padova un video promozionale della title-track "Stand Up",brano che è incluso nell'omonimo album(attualmente il video è in onda in tutta Italia in varie televisioni locali) e anche a "Talent 19",programma radiofonico della ligure "Radio19". Gli "A Mad Game" calcheranno i palchi di vari festival,locali e teatri italiani,tra i quali il "Days Shocking Ground"(evento rock) di Terni e dividendo a Genova il palco con Irene Fornaciari(quest'ultimo evento organizzato per raccogliere fondi e salvare i CANI delle PERRERAS SPAGNOLE ,Canili Spagnoli)portando con sè l'energia pura dei loro live.
